Produced during the 1940s, this handsome oversized stainless steel Omega reflects a period when larger wristwatches were beginning to replace the smaller proportions of the pre-war era. Housed in a substantial 35–38mm case, these so-called “Jumbo” Omegas were considered exceptionally large for their time and remain remarkably wearable today. The clean silver dial, reference 24810, is enhanced by applied rose gold Arabic numerals and a recessed sub-seconds register, creating a refined contrast that perfectly captures Omega’s understated elegance of the era.
Powering this watch is Omega’s legendary manual-winding Calibre 30T2, introduced in 1939 and widely regarded as one of the finest hand-wound movements ever produced by the manufacture. Built around a large 30mm architecture, the movement earned a reputation for exceptional reliability, accuracy and ease of servicing, becoming the foundation for numerous later variants, including chronometer-grade calibres.
