Dating to 1998, this stainless-steel wristwatch reflects the restrained, integrated designs that remained an important part of luxury watchmaking during the closing years of the twentieth century. Its compact 22.5 mm case is formed with a press-in construction and flows directly into an integrated stainless-steel bracelet, creating a continuous profile across the wrist. This style has its roots in the integrated-bracelet watches that became particularly fashionable from the 1970s onwards, with the bracelet treated as an integral part of the overall case design rather than simply an interchangeable fitting.
This watch is powered by a quartz electronic analogue movement, a technology that had become firmly established within Swiss luxury watchmaking by the 1990s for its accuracy, reliability and compact dimensions. The slim movement allowed manufacturers to produce particularly refined cases such as this while retaining conventional analogue time display. Originally specified with water resistance to 30 metres, this example combines the practicality of late twentieth-century quartz watchmaking with the smaller proportions and understated styling characteristic of the period.
